The Sandwich Public Library District Board of Trustees seeks candidates to fill three vacancies on the Library Board.  Those interested in being appointed should submit a letter of interest detailing their background in Sandwich, personal interests, work history that might pertain to serving as a trustee and a statement indicating the reason for their interest in serving on the Board. Applicants should hold a current library card or be willing to apply for one.

The Library Board is composed of seven trustees, who must be residents of the Sandwich Public Library District.  On average at this time, the Trustee position requires a time commitment of up to 10  hours per month (this includes 1-2 meetings and preparation).

Trustees serve without compensation and must be available for regular meetings held in the evening on the second Tuesday of each month in addition to special meetings for various matters.  We appreciate the interest and support of the Sandwich Public Library District.

Current Trustees will review applicants as they are submitted; a Special Meeting will be scheduled to interview top candidates.  The selected candidates will serve until the next regular election in April of 2019 at which time the selected candidates must either run for public election or resign from the Board.

Those wishing to be considered should submit their letter of interest to Jane Wolf, Board Secretary by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by regular mail:
